The wait is over. MRCS Part A January 2026 exam results have been released, and once again, our students have made us proud. Our students have stepped up yet again, and their performance reflects the effectiveness of our exam-oriented, systematic courses. The results announced now are for the examination held on 21 January 2026 across worldwide test centres.
How to check MRCS Part A January 2026 results
The RCS will send candidates a personal email containing information about their results on the scheduled results day. The results will be sent to the default email ID linked to the RCS online account. A copy of the results will also be available in your RCS online account.
However, the RCS recommends that it is better not to log in immediately on the release day, as heavy web traffic may affect the performance of the website. Additionally, a formal result and feedback letter in PDF format, with a detailed performance breakdown, will be emailed around 2 to 4 weeks after the initial result summary release.
What is MRCS Part A?
MRCS Part A is a two-paper exam which you need to clear to get the RCS membership. It is a computer-based exam that assesses a candidate’s knowledge of applied basic sciences and principles of surgery. The exam tests subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, and surgical principles. You will need to answer a total of 300 MCQs, and the exam duration is five hours.
