The Royal College of Surgeons has confirmed that the booking window for the MRCS Part B ENT Edinburgh, UK exams will close on November 30, 2023. As per the current updates from RCS, the MRCS Part B ENT Edinburgh, UK exams will be conducted from 19 February 2024 to 01 March 2024. The fee for the exam is fixed as £1047.00.

MRCS Part B ENT; In a Nutshell

The exam is the final step in your gateway to build a career in ENT Surgery. The exam primarily analyzes the knowledge, clinical, and communication skills of the aspirants.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a recognized medical qualification to meet the entry requirements for the MRCS Part B ENT examination. RCS strongly recommended to be involved in acquiring professional knowledge and training for at least six months in a full-time or equivalent part-time position. In addition, candidates must have passed MRCS Part A to apply for the MRCS (ENT) OSCE exam.

Candidates can attempt the MRCS Part A six times only, and the MRCS Part B ENT four times only.

Exam Pattern

This Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) consists of up to 28 active stations and a number of preparation stations and rest stations. The active stations include five stations designed to assess clinical skills, clinical examination, clinical history-taking, and communication skills. The exam usually takes two days to complete. On Day 1, written stations are covered. Day 2 is for covering clinical stations.
