MRCS exam overview

The Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) is recognised as the gold standard of surgical excellence worldwide. The MRCS examination is divided into two parts—Part A and Part B.

The MRCS Part A is a written exam consisting of two papers, assessing candidates’ knowledge in applied basic sciences and principles of surgery. It is a five-hour assessment designed to evaluate core surgical understanding. MRCS Part B is an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), which assesses a candidate’s practical skills and clinical knowledge in areas such as history-taking, communication, and clinical procedures.

With the release of the MRCS Part A September 2024 exam results, StudyMRCS has once more established itself as a frontrunner in the MRCS exam preparation. Our candidates have achieved remarkable success, underscoring the effectiveness of our dedicated programs.

“I am extremely delighted and thankful to all the StudyMEDIC mentors and staff, who were incredibly helpful throughout the course and made passing the exam so much easier. Special thanks to mentors Dr. Rakhshith, Dr. Aditi, Dr. Sujan, Dr. Yugal, Dr. Aishwarya, and others as well (apologies if I missed anyone). The classes, materials, intensive hours, mock exams, and revision sessions each played a significant role in the overall process of preparation and eventual success,” shares Dr. Abhik Debnath, a StudyMRCS student.

“I am very grateful to all the StudyMEDIC team for their guidance. The best part was the daily practice of MCQs and discussion sessions that enhanced our skills. Special thanks to Dr. Rakhshith, Dr. Sanjay, Thasleema Ma’am, Dr. Sujan, Dr. Aishwarya, Dr. Sheena, and all the team members for their support,” says another satisfied student, Dr. Sidra Akhtar.
