The Royal College of Surgeons of England, Edinburgh, and Glasgow awards the MRCS qualification. The primary goal of the exam is to equip aspirants with the necessary knowledge and skills.

To be eligible for the MRCS Part A exam, the candidate should have completed a primary medical qualification. The General Medical Council (GMC) of the UK must accept this medical qualification. If you are an overseas candidate, the councils of the respective colleges must accept your primary medical qualification.

If you are a first-time applicant who does not appear on the registers of the GMC or Medical Council, then you need to submit an original certificate or an authenticated copy of a medical degree acceptable to each of the four colleges.
For Indian candidates, the basic MBBS qualification is the only requirement you need to have to appear for the examination.

Remember, RCS does not accept documents shared by post. So, the aspirants must ensure that all documents are mailed.

If you want to appear for an examination. Take note that a candidate can attempt the Part A exam six times and the Part B exam four times in total.

Passing the MRCS examination will open the door for a dream career in surgery. If you are looking to build your dream career in surgery, then MRCS is the perfect option for you.
